Newquay - Absolutely Fabulous!

Come here and never be bored..................

Newquay's golden beaches are natural traps for the sun - so, long before it sets, you will want to find a cooling drink in the shade, an ice cream or, better, one of our famous cream teas. And later you will have the pleasant problem of deciding from a mouth-watering choice of pubs and restaurants where to dine - and where to go on afterwards. For the night stays young in Newquay even when it is late.

TEATIME AND APERITIFS
Within walking distance of the central beaches of Towan, Great Western and Tolcarne, there are cafes or tearooms where you can enjoy Cornwall's famous clotted cream on locally baked splits with jam and honey. You can enjoy it in ice cream, too, available from stands and shops everywhere. For those parched rather than hungry, there are several pubs in the town centre alone, many of which are open all day, and most selling West Country beers and cider.

EVENING SPORT
Many prefer to play their sport in the cool of evening, after a day on the beach. Newquay boasts two snooker and two bowling clubs - indoor and outdoor - tennis and pitch-and-putt at Trenance Leisure Park, golf at the nine-hole Treloy Course as well as Fistral Bay and a Sports Centre which is also a licensed club providing family entertainment six nights a week.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
For those who want a romantic dinner ‡ deux, a more formal meal or who simply feel like a change from fast food or self-catering, Newquay has a mouth-watering range of restaurants, some offering freshly caught seafood, others the tang of the Mediterranean or the spice of Indian cuisine. Not only is the choice wide but the value is excellent.

FUN FOR ALL
Any parent will tell you that the hardest part of a holiday is getting everybody to agree what they want to do, or eat. Newquay gets around the problem by having so many of its facilities close together - or even under one roof, combining food, drink and leisure centre, such as Trenance, where Waterworld, the Zoo, tennis, pitch-and-putt, a cafe and family restaurant are all on the same site.

ENTERTAINMENT
With clubs, pubs and discos, Newquay offers what is quite simply the best choice of entertainment in the South West. Not only is it broadly based to cater for all ages: it is easily accessible and very good value.
